Global Semiconductor Industry Updates

1. Samsung, the global leader in memory, plans to exit the MLC NAND flash memory market and has informed its customers that it will only accept orders until June.

2. Tesla's sales in Europe dropped by 49% year-on-year in April, despite a 27.8% increase in sales of its pure electric vehicles.

3. Chinese automaker Foton Motor intends to establish a joint venture with Eve Energy, with a registered capital of 500 million RMB.

4. Baolong Technology has secured the TPMS project for a European luxury car brand, with an expected lifecycle of 10 years and a total lifecycle value of 282 million RMB. Mass production is planned for 2028.

China Semiconductor Industry Updates

1. Shenzhen Basic Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a leading player in China's third-generation semiconductor silicon carbide (SiC) chips, has embarked on the path to a Hong Kong listing, aiming to become China’s first SiC chip stock.

2. Zhejiang Hanxin Xinhao Semiconductor Co., Ltd.'s new SiC packaging and testing project in Lishui has completed the main structure, with a total investment expected to reach 1.2 billion RMB.

3. Nantong Yueya Semiconductor Co., Ltd.'s FCBGA packaging substrate manufacturing project (Phase II) is nearing completion, with a total investment of 2.15 billion RMB.

4. Shenzhen Borui Jingxin Technology Co., Ltd. has moved its headquarters from Nanshan District in Shenzhen to Tangjiawan Town in Zhuhai, with its registered capital significantly reduced from 8 billion RMB to just over 200 million RMB.

5. Yirui Electronics Technology Group Co., Ltd. plans to increase its investment in its wholly-owned subsidiary Yirui Hefei by 600 million RMB and invest up to 1.8 billion RMB in a silicon-based OLED micro-display backplane production project.
